Early Childhood Education Specialist

Smart Start of Davie is accepting resumes for an Early Childhood Education Specialist, who will manage our Child Care Center support program, our Early Childhood Resource Center and literacy programs.  This individual will be responsible for providing technical assistance to childcare centers serving children age birth to five.  Tasks include, but are  not limited to:  assisting in teacher coaching, classroom management support, demonstrate working knowledge of ITERS & ECERS, acquire and maintain proficiency in environmental rating scales and assist childcare providers in utilizing them for quality improvements, review lesson plans to ensure alignment with NC Foundations, and will oversee training for childcare professionals and preschool teachers. Position will serve as Literacy Coordinator for all literacy programs.  A Bachelor degree in early childhood education or related field, child development, or human services from accredited college, minimum of four focused semester hours or experience as an early childhood professional required.  Must hold a minimum of level 11 NC Early Care and Education Professional Certification (EEC) with TA and PD Endorsements or be willing to obtain within a year of employment.   Individual must meet a specific level of expertise for servicing the childcare centers.  This job would also have other administrative responsibilities within the office.  This position is full time with benefits.

Program Evaluator / Marketing Coordinator

Smart Start of Davie is accepting resumes for a Program Evaluator & Marketing Coordinator, who would need several skills, including business management, data management to deal with quarterly reporting on all programs, marketing of the programs and events, and maintenance of all social media accounts and ability to complete newsletters, and other publications.  This job will require extensive knowledge and proficiency in excel, word, publisher.  It will also require a high level of communications skills including emailing, calling, and representing the office at many meetings and events.  This position will have administrative tasks and responsibilities within the office.  A degree in business with marketing, statistics, or evaluation experience is preferred.  Data management experience needed.  Marketing samples/references encouraged.
