Share a story with us about an early care and learning staff member who was doing something awesome in their class or at their center. Maybe they were utilizing a new skill learned in a training, or they rocked their rated licensing assessment, or they did something above and beyond.
Early Educator Support
Through Strengthening the Foundations of Quality program, Smart Start of Davie County offers Technical Assistance to all early childhood educators (birth to age 5) in Davie County. Our Early Childhood Program Coordinator will visit your classroom upon request to assist with quality childcare issues, program management topics, and program start up! Intensive services also offered for child care facilities due to be assessed within the next 12 months.
Trainings are offered on a variety of early childhood topics throughout the year. Most trainings are offered to Davie County providers at little or no cost. Smart Start of Davie County will also offer an Early Educators Conference once a year (usually in October.) This conference will allow early educators to earn 5 contact hours during the one-day event on various topics. See the Trainings tab for a full calendar listing of the current available trainings.
