Reach Out & Read
Local medical practices and Smart Start of Davie County work together to provide the Reach Out and Read program to children ages 6 months to 5 years in Davie County. At each well-child visit with a participating medical practice, children are “prescribed” reading with a brand new, age-appropriate book to take home. Children and parents learn the importance of literacy and reading together. The following offices are participants in Reach Out and Read:
